After two DCUK contests, Cadence go into the second half of the season seeded in 3rd place in the UK and 7th in the DCE European Music Games Rankings

When we took to the field at Woking on the 4 July this year none of us could have predicted that we would end the first half of the season in the position we are currently in.

A 4th place at the International Summer Spectacular scoring 53.85 was a fantastic result placing us 3rd in the UK and 9th in Europe. Two weeks later we travelled to Saffron Lane, a historically poor venue for Cadence, for the DCUK Midlands contest. We scored 58.75 maintaining our UK seeding and jumping to 7th place in the DCE Summer Music Games Rankings.

Our "Castaway" show has been a massive step up for all sections of the Corps and this has shown in some of the technical caption scores in the early part of the season.

We now go into August (a months break for some Corps) with three new battery percussion players and a new colourguard member to fit into the show. With lots of cleaning and a few changes to make we hope to come out in September at DCUK Essex with an even stronger show.

The Big Red Machine is on The March!!
